Katie Aung Din Taylor
Katie is a Chicago-based interior decorator creating original spaces with soul.
Born in Bangkok, Thailand, she grew up between cultures as the daughter of a Burmese mother and an American father. Her childhood was spent in Jakarta, Indonesia, followed by formative years across Los Angeles, California, and Yangon, Myanmar. This dual upbringing shapes how she sees the world and approaches design, with curiosity and an instinct for mixing influences into something unique.
Chicago is now home with her husband and two young kids, and Katie is continually inspired by the city’s beauty and Midwestern surroundings. She tends to shy away from trends and never aims for perfection. Her goal is to create spaces that feel alive, meaningful, and genuinely reflective of the people who live there. Katie lives in a shoes-off household :)
